I learned to crochet from my mom when I was in Middle School. I trying making scarves and blankets. Those blankets just never seemed to get done. Well I stopped crocheting over the High School years.
At time I would think about crochet a blanket and pick it up again but would stop before it was done.
I moved away from home in Indiana to Florida where I met my husband. When my first son was born I started thinking about crochet again. I wanted to make him a blanket. So I picked back up and relearned.
It wasn't until my second son that I started to think about toys instead.
My family moved back to Indiana and I started looking into making crochet toys.
I was making toys here and there and was getting good. But someone at church, having heard me talk about making crochet toys, ordered an elephant.
I found the pattern with what she was thinking about and worked up a cute elephant. She was so excited when I brought the finished toy to her.
"You should make it a business."
So I did, slowly building up and not overwhelming myself. I was working at a Montessori School at the time and making toys for infants.
Now here I am with a website, Facebook Page, and vendor events to go to. Making toys for kids to enjoy and play with.
